What is PixelRelic?

PixelRelic is a gallery of physical artworks, part of the YTY ecosystem, based in Marseille. Each piece is a plexiglass relic embedded with an NFC chip that proves its origin. On their first order, the collector receives a RELICKEEPER Veilleur card that lets them transmit their relics face-to-face to the next custodian.

Are PixelRelic artworks NFTs?

No. PixelRelic does not issue NFTs and does not rely on a blockchain ledger. The proof of origin is embedded in the physical NFC chip of the artwork, and the transfer of ownership is performed in person with the RELICKEEPER card. There is no token, no wallet, no centralized server.

Who is behind PixelRelic?

PixelRelic is part of the YTY ecosystem, a holding founded by Olivier Cordoleani that owns and licenses phygital protocols. YTY also owns RELICKEEPER, the companion protocol used to transmit the ownership of PixelRelic relics.

How does ownership transfer work?

On their first order, the collector receives a RELICKEEPER Veilleur card. The owner then transmits a relic to the next custodian in person, by performing a physical gesture between the two cards. The transmission is recorded locally on the card, not on a server.
